STM showcases multi-purpose support ship for Malaysian Royal Navy

"We started construction of three corvettes for the Malaysian Royal Navy under LMS Batch-2 in Türkiye in 2024, and the process continues successfully," Guleryuz stated.

"We are displaying the multi-purpose support ship that we designed to meet the needs of the Malaysian Royal Navy for the first time at the LIMA Fair."

"We view the Memorandum of Understanding we signed with LUNAS as a step that will contribute not only to defense industry cooperation between the two countries but also to regional maritime security," he added.

Tactical UAV systems joint production agreement signed

A second memorandum of understanding was signed between STM and G7 Aerospace, a significant Malaysian military aviation company, for the joint production of Tactical Mini UAV Systems in Malaysia.

The agreement aims to establish collaborative manufacturing capabilities for advanced unmanned aerial vehicle systems in the Malaysian market.

STM's global UAV export success and combat-proven systems

Regarding the G7 Aerospace agreement, Guleryuz highlighted STM's extensive experience in UAV systems and global export achievements.

"Our mini UAV systems have been successfully used by the Turkish Armed Forces for eight years. We have exported our products, such as KARGU, TOGAN, and BOYGA, which have successfully proven themselves in real combat environments in counterterrorism, cross-border operations, and special operations, to more than 10 countries across 3 different continents," Guleryuz said.

"This goodwill agreement, which will expand STM's expertise in UAV systems on a global scale, will further strengthen defense and security cooperation between Malaysia and Türkiye."

"We aim to develop defense capabilities and our relations by providing engineering support in tactical UAV technologies to the Malaysian Armed Forces, where we are an important solution partner in the maritime field," he continued.
