Besiktas Fibabanka defeated Fenerbahce Beko 98-77 on Saturday in Game 3 of the Türkiye Sigorta Basketball Super League playoff finals, cutting the series deficit to 2-1.
The best-of-seven series will determine the champion once a team reaches four wins. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday, June 23, at the Basketball Development Center.
Fenerbahce Beko opened strong with a 7-0 run in the first three minutes, but Besiktas responded with a dominant 17-0 stretch, taking a 17-7 lead by the ninth minute. Fenerbahce managed just two points in the final seven minutes of the quarter, which ended 22-9 in Besiktas’s favor.
Besiktas continued to control the tempo in the second quarter, pushing the lead to 34-12 by the 16th minute. Fenerbahce struggled to generate offense, and although Hall added key baskets, Besiktas countered with timely three-pointers from Yigit Arslan. The home team went into halftime leading 50-31.
In the third quarter, both sides traded baskets, with Fenerbahce trimming the gap to 14 points late in the period. However, Besiktas maintained its composure and entered the fourth quarter with a 72-56 advantage.
Fenerbahce made a push early in the final frame, narrowing the deficit to 11 points at 72-61 by the 32nd minute. Besiktas quickly responded and extended the lead to as much as 26 points, ultimately cruising to a decisive 98-77 win.
Besiktas guard Berk Ibrahim Ugurlu exited the game with an injury in the 23rd minute after landing awkwardly during a physical challenge with Baldwin.
The 29-year-old national team player was treated by medical staff and did not return for the remainder of the game.
